the north atlanta bird show
my best friend and i went to a bird show in north atlanta today. it was awesome! so many types and varieties of beautiful birds, i really wanted to bring one home :/ but as i'm trying to get a kitty next, i didn't think that was such a great idea. ;)

my beloved dresser
i found one....
let me just explain how much effort i've been putting in to finding a mid century dresser. craigslist, i'd check at least 20 times a day....waiting, hoping one would pop up. antique stores, praying that there would be one in my budget. I ventured to griffin and atlanta to check shops. yes, they had them at highland row, but were outrageously priced.
yesterday, my friends and i went to the local thrift store to buy paint to paint some pots. the craft area is across from the furniture, btw. i just GLANCED over there and saw it....i literally RAN to it and grabbed the paper off. the price tag? $65.00
65 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can't even describe how happy i was, my heart was racing and my body was shaking. my dad immediately came to pick it up, and now, my room will be complete {after my nightstand is finished, ugh}
