Good Karma is Good.

Recap of my day: 

• I woke up at 6:30 AM (don't ask why o.0), and left for yard/estate sales about 8. Usually, I find all of the yard sales I want to visit on craigslist, and I had found one out in a little town about 30 minutes from me. When I arrived, the lady greeted me with the sweetest smile and "hello!". I ended up helping her move and set up all of the rest of the stuff until her partner arrived a hour later. It ended up helping as I got a picnic basket, wicker basket, and two scarfs for free! woo! She was the sweetest lady and I found out she actually is the manager of one of the thrift stores I go to...so i hope to see her again one day. 
• Next, I headed to my town for an estate sale that i've been dying to go to for a couple of weeks. There were a ton of people there and I ended up with an old polaroid camera, photo frame, earrings, and a future gift for one of my friends. twas a success! 
• I'm petsitting a lady's kitty and turtle for the next two weeks, so I went to her house to go over instructions. 
• Saw Luke
• Went to Tiffany's to see her new turtles
• and my bike is here and complete! i rode it down the street, but i want to ride it more! i just can't justify burning alive in this 103 degree weather. :/

yard sale success!

three dresses; a cardigan; a manga; a headband & a belt

my mom had surgery today, and boy, do i have more respect for her than ever. i honestly don't see how she takes care of us so well when we're down and sick. taking care of her for one day so far, is hard work...not hard, but time-consuming would be a better word for it. she's doing terrific though, and i'm super excited for her and to see how her body will turn out. she's the best mom i could ever ask for and she deserves it.

finally! i found the bed frame i had been looking for on craigslist. it's a brown hopen from ikea, and they don't make the brown anymore, only the black. so, i got extremely lucky. i love it, and my room so much now. all i need is a new dresser&nightstand now.

also, my mom was cleaning out the stuff that we brought back from my grandpa's house when he passed, and i found my grandma's sewing box! (which was passed down from HER mother) so many generations, and hopefully, i'll be able to pass it down to my future daughter. :)

june twenty- twenty-twelve

taking photos of myself every days gets old. i want to improve my skill by going out and shooting other people! 

ashley went to a music festival over the weekend and brought me back this, fluorite! :) 

i love these headbands so much! but they never stick on my head. does anyone have that problem? guess i'll have to just have my hair braided every time i want to wear one, since that seems to be about the only way it'll stay on. 

our local thrift store

recently, i went to a thrift store that's in my home town, that is in fact the oldest, but yet, i've never been. it's so cute and they have lots of old vintage-y type things. SUPER cheap as well, one dollar to two dollars for most things, except certain brand name articles. anyways, it makes me really happy that my town has at least two good thrift stores.

today, i've been putting old clothing of mine on ebay. it's really a process. but, can't wait to get that extra cash flow! ;)

just finished my second embroidery. i definitely messed up on the "we're" but, oh well! i'm still learning. :)

saturday was so much fun! luke and i went to FUN JUNCTION USA (formally known as dixieland fun park) because he wanted to play some ddr. kid is awesome, and i mean awesome at it. stupid me, i wore sandals with a bit of a heel, so i only played one round. but, it was super fun and next time we go back, i am wearing good shoes! 

most of the day, we just hung around the park, walking around hand in hand. it was lovely, i love him so much. as we were going back to my car to charge my phone for a bit, luke saw a llama!!!!!!!! she? was the cutest thing ever, and i fell in love with her. her housing was inadequate and i would do anything to be able to bring her home and give her the love she deserves. *sigh*

i'm so excited to get new furniture for my room. first, i found the perfect bed frame, that i'm completely in love with.

hello doug

 yesterday, was AWESOME. i had such a great day. as i'm needing more embroidery hoops, i ventured to my local thrift store (which is a-mazing, by the way). turns out they didn't have any, but i found something much much better :D i walked in the door, i was on a mission to get the hoops and leave (yeah, right)...but anyways, i walked past the stuffed animals and this little guy caught my eye. i did a complete 360 and turns out it was a sloth beanie baby!!!!!!!!!!! words can't even describe how ecstatic i was. if you know me in real life, you know my obsession for sloths. :) but anyways, i also found fight club (book), which i had been looking for and two things of fabric for only one dollar each. 

twas a success. 

later that night, my boyfriend and i went to the drive-in theatre with his parents and little brother. we saw chernobyl diaries, which was a good movie, but not GREAT. after that, we drove up to atlanta to see matt's new apartment, which is awesome to be an apartment. such big rooms! 

p.s: oh! and luke named the sloth, douglas. 

the walking embroidery {LOL}

the walking dead is filming in a small town 15minutes away from me and a couple of friends and i went to check it out. pretty neat, minus the fact you couldn't see anything >.<

i also finished my second embroidery yesterday, it's kind of sloppy because i traced the picture off my computer screen. D: i need to buy tracing paper. 

today, i went to this estate sale in atlanta that i've been freaking out excited over. i ended up going later in the day and pretty much everything was gone. :/

finally, after being sick for three days, i got around to doing SOMETHING. i did an embroidery piece....my first one to say the least. it's kind of sloppy and i have a lot of learning to do. but i think it's okay for my first one.

long time no speak

tubing was cool. i had no idea we were going on the four hour trip, two hours would have been perfect. not being able to stand up for that long is not cool. i'd definitely do it again though, the two hour trip.






i really wanted to lay out at the pool tomorrow, but it's supposed to rain so i guess i'll go thrift instead.
